This location is something has been needed in this area for a long time! It was a vision to bring this to reality. With the efforts of Live Wire Media & Events, Wicomico County, Delmarva Jeep Events, and Ocean City Jeep Club, Thin Blue Line Jeep Club. We can give Jeep and off-road enthusiast a new option to legally enjoy their passion.
Build it.
The team started working on this over a year ago with discussions. That turned into action and significant effort. Then we started the site review and worked to secure the venue. Making it safer and better for all. Trail clearing and plans for the layout had started to take place by the fall of 2023. Winter of 2024 the site will be taking shape for our first event in May. Build it they will come!
Grow it.
How anything grows is through like-minded people putting their best efforts forward for the good of this facility. We have mentioned that it will be a facility that is focused on tagged and licensed Jeeps and other mid-sized 4x4s. This facility is not permitted to have side by sides, motorcycles, or ATVs. This is out of respect to the adjoining neighborhood.
Future.
The first event will be a Jeep-specific event planned for May 4-5 2024. We will have trails open, and the facility will be prepared to host its first participants. We are also looking at a mid-summer date in 2024 that will include all makes and models that fit the vehicle guidelines. These guidelines will protect the integrity of the facility. Vehicles like Toyota 4 Runners, Toyota Tacomas, Ford Broncos, Rangers, Chevy Blazers, Jeeps, Subarus, and International Scouts. The future is bright at Safari at the Quarry.
Events.
The first event in May will have 2 shifts per day. Morning and afternoon shifts. When registration opens we have a user-friendly way to register you and your vehicle to participate. It will be hosted on this website. The shifts will allow you to wheel the facility in a safe and organized way. If you wish you can sign up for 1 shift or all 4 shifts over the 2 days. We will also have staff onsite to educate you on the facility and its rules and code of conduct. We take this very seriously.
Stay and Wheel.
We are working closely with Kylan Barn only 5 minutes away from our site. There will be campsites available, dry trailer camping. We will also be hosting some after-events. We are excited to work with several groups and clubs that share this vision and wish to support it through volunteering when they can. Teamwork makes the dream work! Offroad and the Jeep community are excited about this new opportunity. We are excited to give them many options on where to stay and dine.
